Help together

Add more techies to your server, so family or colleagues can share the work.

Any number of techies can use the same server. They all see the same list of PCs, and who is helping whom.

Adding a techie

1. The new techie downloads HelpBuoy Desk and types your server address in its connect box.
2. Because your server doesn’t know them yet, their desk app shows their public key with a Copy public key button. They send it to you.
3. In your desk app, on the Techies tab, press Add techie, paste the key and give them a one-word name, like bob.

Their desk app keeps trying, so it moves on by itself as soon as you’ve added them.

Removing a techie

On the Techies tab, hover over the techie and press Remove, then press Remove again to confirm.

This takes effect immediately and ends any session they have open. Any techie can remove any other techie, but not themselves.

Separate groups

Everyone on one server sees everyone the server knows. If you want separate groups, for example your family and your business, run separate servers.
